Learning Environments
When creating a healthy learning environment for students, it's important to not just focus on the physical set up of your room but the ora as well. If there is a positive ora in your room, the students will be more successfull than if there's negativity. If we want students to be excited about learning, we have to be excited and passionate about learning. Furthermore,
When students feel welcome, accepted, valued and safe, they will challenge themselves academically and their readiness for learning should become heightened. Other important environmental features include temperature, lighting, and noise level. These factors affect students in different ways and are
directly related to individual learning styles. I think bright colorful posters, charts that show student achievement, a classroom library etc. brighten the mood and feel of the classroom. By offering a classroom library it's more convenient for students to read. My mentor finds out what the children are interested in and updates her class book collection. I think it's important to pique the student's interest, it makes them want to read when it's something they are interested in. Overall, teachers are responsible for making their classrooms physically, emotionally and intellectually safe, clean and
