Assessment Project
During this final internship, I had to complete an assessment project (attached below) and analyze the differences between my student's pre and post data/scores. I taught four reading lessons that had language arts, math, science and social studies weaved into them. I gave each student a pretest on the subject I was teaching, then taught the lesson and gave a post test. I then graphed the pre and posts test scores, so I could analyze my students growth between the pre and post tests. I then chose one subject and broke out the data of my 2 ELL students, and analyzed those scores. I then reflected on my interpretation of the learning and my impact on both individual and class growth. Assessing the students and analyzing their scores is vital, you need to know if your teaching is benefiting the student's. Asessment determines whether or not the goals of education are being met. Assessment affects decisions about grades, placement, advancement, instructional needs,
curriculum, and sometimes funding. These are all very valid reasons that assessing the student's is so important.
